On Thursday 6th October, 300 guests gathered at The Four Seasons Hotel, London, for the first Olivia’s Vision Comedy Night.
Dynamo Magician wowed us at the reception while Jack Whitehall, Ian Stone, David Armand and Craig Hill had us in hysterics during the course of the evening.
We raffled a 3.6 ct. emerald donated by Gemfields plc, and auctioned items including a week at a luxurious chalet in Courchevel, courtesy of Richard Griffiths of Alethia Capital Jersey Ltd, exclusive Arsenal Diamond Club tickets donated by Lord Harris of Peckham, and a Sunseeker experience.
Professor William Ayliffe spoke movingly of the plight of many chronic uveitis sufferers, and we showed for the first time our Appeal Video, which illustrates a child’s perspective of losing sight to this destructive disease.
The generosity of everybody involved was overwhelming. By the end of the night we had raised an incredible £200,000! The two year sponsorship of the first Olivia’s Vision Fellowship can now go ahead as planned next year. We cannot thank enough everybody who joined us and made this memorable night such as huge success.
